The Free Plant for the Spring Plant Sale

It’s not too soon to be thinking about the Spring Plant Sale – Sunday 27th May, 10am-4pm, Helmingham Hall, IP14 6EF. The free plant will be Penstemon ‘Drinkstone Red’. It’s described as: A good red, hardy Penstemon, flowers for a  long period over the summer with long tubular flowers and  medium green foliage with an elegant appearance.  It should be kept deadheaded to encourage flowering and cut back in spring to new shoots coming from the base. The Garden Marquee will be hosting a number of talks throughout the day. : 11.30 – Matthew Tanton Brown, Nurseryman and Broadcaster. ‘Trees and Shrubs for Autumn Colour’ 12.30 –Anthony Pigott, Fern specialist and National Collection holder of Equisetum. ‘Ferns for winter effect: choice, culture and companions’.  2.00 – Marc –  Beth Chatto Gardens and Nursery. ‘The best herbaceous plants for Autumn’

Spring Plant Fair
