The Free Plant for the Spring Plant Sale

It’s not too soon to be thinking about the Spring Plant Sale – Sunday 27th May, 10am-4pm, Helmingham Hall, IP14 6EF. The free plant will be Penstemon ‘Drinkstone Red’. It’s described as: A good red, hardy Penstemon, flowers for a  long period over the summer with long tubular flowers and  medium green foliage with an elegant appearance.  It should be kept deadheaded to encourage flowering and cut back in spring to new shoots coming from the base. The Plant Fair Free Plant Arrives

The free plant, Fuchsia ‘Whiteknights Pearl’ has arrived, ready to be given to the lucky first 800 visitors to the Suffolk Plant Heritage Plant Fair at Helmingham Hall on Sunday (28th May). Don’t miss yours! Planning ahead, Suffolk Plant Heritage Propagation Officer Anne Tweddle has been collecting material for the 2018 free plant, Penstemon ‘Drinkstone Red’ from National Collection holder Maggie Wylie at Hollesley.
